More than 100 million farmers work in the cities and become migrant workers. These workers make their contribution to the progress of the cities, and pay tax to the cities where they work. But these workers were severely discriminated against in the cities. Their children suffer serious educational discrimination and segregation of education.
Migrant workers may be able to live with the discrimination in the cities, while their children can't. If the children lost equal opportunity of education, several years later the whole generation of migrant workers' kids will be destroyed with no chance to make up for. Therefore, China Democracy Party advocates the rights of equal education opportunities for migrant workersó children.
China Democracy Party proposes that Government should allocate educational funding according to each individual student's citizen registration number, and a record of it should be created. The funding should go to the school which the student is attending, no matter which school the student goes to.
China Democracy Party advocates that schools should be private, and teachers should be government employee. Government should regulate education while allowing free competition among schools. The fundamental education facilities should be invested by personnel or private organizations, while the government should provide funding to hire teachers and continue education, so the government's education funding of next 10 years can be used now to resolve the enormous investment needs of the educational facilities required for the migrant workersó kidsó education.
China Democracy Party advocates that as many as possible of migrant workersó children should go to schools in the cities. This will allow the kids to receive better education which will change their whole lives in the future. China Democracy Party strongly opposes any policies or political systems that pose educational discrimination or segregation against the children of migrant workers.
