From April 6, 2004 on, the headquarters of CDP mobilized some party members to hold protests long term. The protests was held very weeks.The protests will come to its end until the day when ban of the party is ended and democracy is accomplished in China. It would be a long-term and hard process, so we named this activity Marathon Activity of CDP. The reason why CDP holds Marathon Activity is to bring confidence to the people in the mainland China and outside China by the active activity, and also to organizations and party members of CDP both in secret and in public. The desire and confidence of millions of people getting together will exert a huge strength that it could destroy any stubbornly resistance.

We should change our confidence, courage, will and endurance into torches to light frames from hearts of millions of people, and let the light from these frames dispel the darkness before the daybreak.

The Democratic Marathon Activity of CDP will be held over a long period of time. We would persist on holding protest rallies until the Chinese Government gives up autocratic rule. Maybe our protest rally will last 5 years or 10 years, however, we would persist on. We believe that it would be hopeful and successful if we persist on.

While holding Marathon Activity, we don't loosen at all the preparation work of organizations, thoughts and talents. On the one hand, we will push China forward to democracy and freedom. On the other hand, we should develop and strengthen the organizations of CDP. Only after we develop and strengthen, we could have strong ability to make the democratic cause in China successful, and have enough power to ensure the democratic cause in China not to be come to a premature end and be killed.

Of course, the CCP Government in Beijing will not stop harassing, obstructing and wrecking the Democratic Marathon Activity of CDP. This would be doomed to experiencing numerous difficulties and dangers, and encountering numerous attacks and defeats in the process of developing Marathon Activity. But we have confidence and courage to persist on this activity because we are obedient to the will of God, and fit for the will of millions of people, and, furthermore, we are obedient to the trend of history. Therefore, we believe that CDP would be successful, and the democratic cause in China would be sure to win.
